Threatening Family Members of Mohammad Saiyadi, a Political Chairman of Islamic Society Student in Hamedan University

Abu Ali Sina Newsletter- As the observance of the 16th of Azer (December 6) event was approaching, a movement of student activists were closely being watched by security apparatus. As part of such monitoring, the family members of Mohammad Saiyadi, the political chairman of the Islamic Society in Bou Ali Sina University located in the city of Hamedan, was threatened through suspicious telephone calls attributed to the security agents.
 
On Monday, December 1, while Mr. Saiyadi was present in an open student discussion, his family members received a call threatening his arrest should he insist on continuing his activities.
 
The person on the other side of telephone warned the family that Mr. Saiyadi’s continued activities would lead to the loss of the family’s educational benefits and other social services.
