A Brief Report on the Latest Condition of Ayatullah Borojerdi in Zazd Prison

By IHRV | December 11, 2008

4kkamag.jpgHuman Rights Advocates in Iran- After more than ten days since the exiling of Ayatullah Borojerdi to a prison in the city of Yazd, the condition of the prison has exacerbated the religious figure’s physical health.  Prison authorities have increased their efforts to curtail Ayatullah Borojerdi’s contacts with the outside world by reducing his weekly visits to once every 45 days.  Mr. Ayatullah Borojerdi’s daily contacts had also been reduced to a period not longer than 15 minutes, and later even the right to 15-minute visits was also disallowed totally.  The range of limitations is such that even the shop inside the prison refuses to sell telephone cards to Ayatullah Borojerdi.
