Three Women Committed Suicide in Kurdistan during Recent Days

In recent days, three women from various regions of Kurdistan set themselves on fire. 
 
Parvaneh Vaisi, a resident of Javanrood in Kermanshah province set herself on fire about nine days ago, and she died in the hospital due to the extent of her injuries. 
 
On April 17, Ronak Mohammadi, 22 years old and a resident of the city of Saghez, attempted suicide by ingesting pills as a result of pressure exerted by her family members.  She was rescued after being hospitalized.
 
Goona Mohammadi, 12, a resident of Zardyilika village, set herself on fire as a result of rough treatment by her family members. 
 
Iran is ranks third among countries where the number of women committing suicide is on the rise, and it appears that the number of women committing suicide will soon surpass that of men.  In other countries of the world, the rate of women committing suicide is on the average 1/3 of suicides committed by men.
