Moyasem Roudaki, a political activist, was detained by Tehran’s Intelligence police and sent to Evin Prison.  Mr. Roudaki’s arrest came on September 22 when he was trying to enter the United Nations building in Tehran to submit his report regarding the occurrence of recent events in Iran.

After his arrest, Mr. Roudaki was sent to the general section of Evin Prison.  At the present time, Mr. Roudaki is being held in Evin’s hall 4 inside ward 7, and under much pressure; his psychological state is not stable.

Readers are reminded that this political activist had previously been detained in September of 2007 and charged with attempts against national security, and that he spent 70 days in section 209 of Evin Prison.  Mr. Roudaki’s release bail was set at 70,000 USD until his charges are fully investigated.  The case is still pending.
