Amir Aghaei Sentenced to Three Years Suspended Sentencing
 
Amir Aghaei, a leftist student activist, received three years’ suspended sentencing, effective for the next two years.
 
Mr. Aghaei is a pro-democracy and equality student in Rajaei University who was detained on December 3, 2007 during a widespread detention of leftist students, and was released on January 23, 2008 on bond.
 
Readers are reminded that in recent weeks, many pro-democracy and equality students have received harsh and unfair sentences collectively.
