Reza Nourbakhsh Sentenced to Six-Year Jail Term

Reza Nourbakhsh, chief editor of Far-hikh-te-gan, who has been in detention since August 4, received a six-year jail term from the initial court.  The sentencing news was also confirmed by his family members. 
 
Readers are reminded that, at one point, Mr. Nourbakhsh was managing director of the Jumhoriat news website. 
 
Masoud Bastani, current managing director of the Jumhoriat news website, also received a six-year jail term last week.  He has not been able to appeal the case yet, and his allotted time for appeal is about to expire.
