By IHRV | November 5, 2009
Doctor Davoud Solaimani, an executive member of the Islamic Iran Participation Front, after spending four months in solitary confinement was transferred to a general section of prison yesterday.
Dr. Solaimani announced the news during a telephone call he made to his family last Monday. The executive member of the Participation Front party also said his health is in good condition.
According to reports made available, Dr. Solaimani’s mental state is relatively good, in spite of the physical assaults and long hours of interrogation that he had to endure. His interrogators were also unsuccessful in forcing him to admit to made-up charges.
Dr. Solaimani is an executive member of the Participation Front, a university professor, and was the deputy campaign manager of Tehran province for presidential candidate Mir-Hossein Mousavi during the disputed tenth presidential election held last June.
