Ali Asadullahi, Student Activist, Detained
By IHRV | November 8, 2009
During a November 4 demonstration, Ali Asadullahi, a student activist and a young poet, was detained by plainclothes agents who had infiltrated the line of protestors.
Readers are reminded that Mr. Asadullahi is a railroad engineering student in the Science and Industry University in Iran who has previously received a two-term suspended sentencing from attending classes in the university by the disciplinary committee, and that with his current detention, he can potentially be expelled from the university should the suspended sentencing be enforced.
