Detention of Saeed Kalanky, A Human Rights Activist

At 8:00 AM on December 1, agents from the Ministry of Intelligence appeared in Saeed Kalanky’s place of business and placed him under arrest.  The agents then followed Mr. Kalanky to his residence, where the place was also searched. 

Mr. Kalanky is a graduate of the program in Information Technology, and he is a member of the Human Rights Reporting Committee. 

In recent months, following the disputed presidential election, many civil rights and political activists have been detained by the Ministry of Intelligence.
