Shahin Fazli, Student from Science University in Tabriz, Detained

In the morning of February 31, Shahin Fazli, an engineering student in the field of computer science, and also a civil rights activist and a movie critic, was detained according to an order issued by the Ministry of Intelligence in the city of Tabriz.
The agents searched Mr. Fazli’s residence and confiscated his books, computer and some of his personal effects.
This is the third time that Mr. Fazli has been arrested by Intelligence agents.
Prior to the last presidential election, Mr. Fazli was summoned to room 37 in Tabriz Prison (this office is adjacent to the Tabriz Central Prison), where he was detained and later transferred to the Intelligence section of the prison, where he was subjected to three days of interrogation. Mr. Fazli’s neck still bears the scars from cigarette burns.
