Reporter for Chelcheragh Paper Detained

Nilofar Laripour, a reporter from Chelcheragh Paper, appeared in the Ministry of Intelligence on February 1 and was subsequently detained.

Ms. Laripour was responsible for the music section in the paper, and her writings were mostly centered around religious music and its roots in ancient Iran. 

Ms. Laripour was not involved in any serious political activities and she did not have any party affiliation; even the nature of her articles were in connection with religious subjects.

Ms. Laripour’s only political activity was her involvement during Mr. Mousavi’s presidential campaign.
