Student from Shiraz University Sentenced to 1-Year Jail Term

Razieh Jaafari, is a student from Shiraz University, who had previously been sentenced to a 1-year jail term by the revolutionary court in the city of Shiraz. Following confirmation of her sentencing by the appeals court, her sentencing order was sent to a section of court in charge of enforcing the order. According to this order, she must appear in Adelabad Prison in this city.
Ms. Jaafari, was studying Sociology in Shiraz University before, she was suspended from attending the university. She had also been summoned before the Ministry of Intelligence for attending National Student Day ceremonies.
Two weeks earlier, Ms. Jaafari, had been released from prison after posting a bail bond.
