Two Executed in Central Oromiah Prison

In the early morning hours of Monday, July 5, a man and a woman accused of trafficking narcotics were hanged in the central prison in the city of Oromiah.
The condemned man was identified as Mostafa Rahimi, who was hanged along with his mother. The accusation against two was announced by the judiciary after the execution, which was a sudden event without any prior announcement.
Also on this date, five others prisoners were taken to solitary confinement in advance enforcement of their sentencing. The three prisoners in this group have been identified as Faisal Saedi, Karam Azizi and Omid Nourani.
According to an announcement made by authorities in the judiciary, these individuals have also been accused of involvement in trafficking narcotics.
