Seventeen Accused of Homosexuality Are Detained in the City of Shiraz

Security guards and other forces dressed in civilian clothing raided a gathering in Pandak region in the city of Shiraz and detained at least 17 individuals.
The raid occurred on Saturday, July 10, at around 10 pm, when a large number of security guards raided the gathering, aided by other forces identifying themselves as members of the militia. All detainees were transported to a detention center under the control of security guards located on Modares Boulevard. It has been said that the detainees were not given any food during the first three days of their detention.
Security guards have charged the detainees with performing homosexual acts, satanic rituals and consuming alcoholic beverages. Also, according to statements made by security, the detainees will be tried in two sessions in both the general and revolutionary courts.
According to relatives, the detainees were transferred to the general court in this city on Thursday. The general conditions of the detainees was reported as very poor, and according to one of the relatives, the detainees were handcuffed and appeared utterly unkempt and hungry.
